Mr. Ryan Gerber

 

Greetings, Canners!  I am Ryan Gerber, and it is with great enthusiasm that I embark on another year as the Assistant Principal at Upper Adams Intermediate School.  My education journal was quite diverse, having attended numerous schools, culminating in my graduation from Greencastle Antrim School District.  Post-high school, I pursued higher education at Shippensburg University where I obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice.  My academic endeavors continued at McDaniel College where I was awarded a Master’s Degree in School Counseling and later returned to complete the Principal Certification Program.

My professional career commenced in family therapy before transitioning to a role as school counselor at the York Learning Center.  Over 17 years of my career have been dedicated to working with at-risk youth and students requiring special education services.

I reside in York County with my wife and four wonderful children.  Two of my children have already crossed the threshold of high school graduation, while the other two continue their educational journey.  Our family dynamic is further enriched by the presence of our beloved dog, Kara.  She is a true member of our family.

I am excited for another fantastic year!  I am confident that our Canners will accomplish remarkable achievements.
