Deadlines and Reminders for College in the High School (CHS)
CHS students earn college credit for HACC courses taught by high school teachers at their high school during the school day.

  • Students taking CHS courses can only register when they receive a registration email from a HACC success coach. Please continue to monitor your personal email and HAWKMail accounts. Our success coaches are working diligently to email students!
  • HACC is excited to offer a new opportunity to CHS students! Twenty CHS students who register for classes by Sept. 23 at 3 p.m. will be randomly selected to receive a tuition giveaway! The tuition giveaway is valued at the cost of one two- to four-credit CHS class.
  • HACC has developed a CHS informational letter for parents/guardians of students taking CHS classes. High school partners should have received a copy of this letter via email to distribute to parents/guardians. If you have not received this letter, please email CHSandDE@hacc.edu to request a copy.
  • HACC librarians are available to CHS instructors to provide information literacy resources in your classes. Please use this form to schedule with us. HACC library resources are also available to CHS students. Meet with a librarian via Zoom to see what is available!
  • CHS students are welcome to view our CHS New Student Orientation (NSO) video. Please email orientation@hacc.edu upon completion.

Deadlines and Reminders for Dual Enrollment
Dual enrollment students enroll in HACC courses to earn college credit while still in high school. Courses are taught at a HACC campus or online.

NEW dual enrollment students, please read the information below on how to access your New Student Orientation (NSO). This is a mandatory requirement that must be completed before you can register for classes. The course is self-paced and can be completed at any time before you register for classes. Once you complete NSO, you will meet with a success coach for advising and course registration.

To complete NSO, please:

  • Log in to myHACC
  • Click BrightSpace (D2L), then “View All Courses”
  • Select “College in the High School/Dual Enrollment New Student Orientation Course”
  • Send a screenshot of your final certificate to orientation@hacc.edu

Please note that you must complete the Title IX, FERPA and final quizzes with a 70% or higher. After completing all of the above modules and quizzes, you will receive a certificate of completion.
