I have been committed to Upper Adams School District since my student teaching experience at Biglerville Elementary School in 1991. I began the first few years of my career teaching kindergarten, second grade, and the gifted program at Biglerville. I was fortunate to spend 19 years teaching 5^th grade and then moved into a Literacy Coach/IST position at Arendtsville. I have served on many curriculum committees throughout the years and was given the opportunity to serve as the district curriculum coordinator for kindergarten through twelfth grade during the 2012-13 school year. In 2015 I moved into the principal position at Arendtsville Elementary School. I have highly enjoyed all of these experiences. 

One of the most important aspects of my job is to develop positive relationships with students, parents and teachers while ensuring a highest quality of education possible. I have always had an open-door policy and will continue with that philosophy as Principal.
