Be sure to include the district contribution to your HSA when calculating a total contribution for a benefit year. The district contributes an annual total of $1,050.00 for single coverage, and $2,100.00 for family coverage, during a benefit year, which is disbursed monthly over the course of the year. Employees who enrolled in an HSA after July 1, would not receive the total annual contribution amount. Monthly contributions would be made beginning the month they enroll, and no catch up contributions are made by the district for the months the employee was not enrolled. For more information about HSA's please refer to the Health Equity website at www.1hsa.com . For more information about HSA's and tax returns, visit the IRS website. From the Business Office"Employees take note to federal tax withholdings and changes for 2018"The IRS is working to develop withholding guidance to implement the tax reform bill signed into law on December 22. The IRS emphasizes this information will be designed to work with the existing Forms W-4 that employees have already filed, and no further action by taxpayers is needed at this time.Use of the new 2018 withholding guidelines will allow taxpayers to begin seeing the changes in their paychecks as early as February, but In the meantime, UASD will continue to use the existing 2017 withholding tables and systems in place until the guidance has been provided. What this means for UASD family is that your federal tax withholdings will change in February, rather than January as in prior years."PSERS Foundations For Your Future Seminar
