INTRODUCTION:

   Hello and welcome to this page!  My name is Ann Showers and I've been at Upper Adams School District since 2001.  Fortunately I have the opportunity to teach both middle school and the high school levels (8th - 12th).   At the middle school level I'm a physical education instructor for 8th graders (shared also by Travis O'Brien).  At the high school levels I instruct the introductory and advanced SAQ (strength, agility, and quickness) classes to grades 9-12.  To make things really exciting I get the pleasure to teach seniors (who select the course ) the Anatomy and Physiology class.   

EDUCATION AND CAREER BACKGROUND:

I recieved my undergraduate degree in Health and Physical Education at Lock Haven University then pursued my masters degree at the University of Rhode Island in Exercise Physiology.   Upon completing my masters I worked for a physical rehab in Carlisle,  Pa working with the Cardiac Rehabilitation program for 4 years.  This program involved Heart patients and lung patients.  Outside of teaching I absolutely love and appreciate my immediate and extended family and friends.  My husbands name is Mike and we have 3 children (Spencer, Parker, and Kortney).   All is much appreciated for what this school and community has been to me, home!!
