Degrees and Certifications:
Hello! My name is Mrs. Johnson, and I am a support teacher for the 2017-2018 school year! I will be in the building until my second child is born in September, and then I will return as the 5th grade math teacher in August 2018.
I have been teaching for 9 years, and I have enjoyed every minute. I began my teaching career as a learning support teacher at Bendersville Elementary. I then taught 2nd and 3rd grade at Bermudian Springs Elementary. In 2011, I came back to Bendersville Elementary as a 4th grade team member. Finally in 2015, I joined the 5th grade team at Arendstville Elementary. I received my undergraduate degree from Shippensburg University and Master's of Education degree in Educational Leadership and Strategies from Wilke University. As a 5th grade teacher, I am responsible for teaching math.
I was born in Gettysburg, PA and have lived in the area for my entire life. In my spare time, I enjoy doing the following things: hiking, cooking, waterskiing, and spending time with my family. My husband and I were married in 2013, and we welcomed our first son, Elliot, in December 2015. We are expecting our second child in September of this year.
Some of my favorite things are:
- Football - PENN STATE and Pittsburgh Steelers
- Drinks - cinnamon tea and water
- Food - Enchiladas Verdes
- Candy - Chewy Caramels and Chocolate
- Colors - pink and green
