    Substitutes Needed!!

Do you know someone who enjoys working with children, needs some extra cash, and would prefer to work according to their own schedule?   Do you know someone who has a Bachelor's degree that would like the experience of teaching in the classroom, but doesn't know they are allowed to teach because they do not have a teaching certificate?
If so, please share the attached flyer with them.  Substitutes are needed in all positions, and at this time of year there is an increased need.  Your help in spreading the word, through your Facebook posts, Twitter, etc. would be greatly appreciated, and beneficial to all students of the district.

    Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

We all struggle from time to time with problems resulting from life's demands and pressures. Some issues can be solved alone; others require help.  These problems can affect our emotional well-being, job performance, home life and health.  WellSpan EAP provides confidential, professional care to help individuals identify and resolve personal and workplace issues.  UASD pays the cost for up to three visits to the EAP for all employees and immediate members of their families.  No information on who receives counseling through the EAP is shared with the District. If you are struggling, think about contacting the EAP, even if you just need someone to talk to. They are there to help and listen. Visit their website at http://www.wellspan.org/about-wellspan/business-services/wellspan-employee-assistance-program . You may also find contact cards posted in the faculty rooms at each building.

Another benefit provided by EAP is a WorkLife portal.  Topics addressed on the portal include:

    • Mental health
    • Work-Life balance issues
    • Finances
    • Physical health
    • Legal issues
    • Personal growth
There are videos, quizzes, articles, and more on each of the above topics. Instructions for accessing the Worklife Portal are attached.
