    Open Enrollment Coming Soon!
    Open enrollment meetings have been planned for May 10 @ 3:00 pm and May 19 @ 4:15 pm in the BHS auditorium.  All staff should plan to attend one of the sessions as there will be important information presented regarding your insurance benefits changes with the district.  
    In the next week or so, information will be available on the District website's "For Staff" web page regarding the health insurance and open enrollment.  To be able to view the information, you must contact the webmaster for a login and password.  An e-mail will be sent to everyone when this information is available on the "For Staff" web page.  Again, please be sure to contact the webmaster (see in red below) to get your login and password.

    Summer Lump Sum Payment Request
    For Professional Staff:  If you want to request a lump sum payment of your salary over the summer months, you must complete and send the attachedSummer Lump Sum Payment Request form to the Business Office no later than Friday, April 30, 2016.  All requests are done on a first come first serve basis.  For more information please refer to the Teachers Contract.

    Substitute Teachers Needed
    Source4Teachers is holding a job fair at the LIU12 on April 20 from 4pm - 7pm for anyone interested in substituting for Upper Adams and the surrounding districts.  Please share the attached flyer with anyone qualified and interested in becoming a substitute teacher.

    Safe Schools Trainings
    Please be sure to complete all your required trainings before the end of the school year.  You should be receiving e-mails regarding the needed trainings.  Please contact me if you are unsure if you have completed the necessary trainings or have not been receiving e-mails from Safe Schools.

    Leave Without Pay
    When requesting leave without pay in the SAMS Absence Reporting system, please add a reason for your leave without pay in the notes section for your request.  Leaves without pay in excess of five consecutive days, require a written request to be sent to the Superintendent.  
    Remember:  Use of unpaid leave may negatively impact an employee's retirement as well as contributions for medical insurance.   Please read page 16 of the Classified Employee Handbook for more information.
    Purchase order deadline scheduled for April 15th. To ensure all purchases are procured and processed using 2015-2016 budget appropriations, we are asking that purchase orders be made in accordance with deadline. Any concerns with meeting this deadline, please contact Belinda Wallen, Business Administrator.

    Please be sure to check out the Staff Page of the district website if you have not already done so. There are many resources and district forms on the page, and eventually all information regarding district benefits, and links to insurance websites will be added as well.  
     
    The plan is for this to be a one stop place for employees to access all information necessary for continued employment.  
    Be sure to check out the new employee's link on the Staff page, where you can see pictures of all new staff who have been hired since the start of the school year.

    Canner Education Grant Applications due April 8, 2016, by 4:00 p.m.  No late applications will be accepted.

    1095 Tax Forms
    Recently employees received a 1095 Tax Form for Affordable Care Act reporting from the district.  A revised 1095 is being be sent to employees in the next few days.  You may destroy the previous tax form, and keep the revised one for your records.  This tax form only needs to be kept with your tax information and will not affect your income taxes in any way this year.  If you have any questions please feel free to contact the Business Office.
