Mrs. Althoff

Hello, my name is Stephanie Althoff.  I've been teaching for 19 years, and I've taught fifth, sixth, first, and fourth graders.  As most of you know, I've been teaching fourth grade at Arendtsville for 9 years, but will be teaching in fifth grade this year.  My first 9 years of teaching were done at Bendersville Elementary from 1990-1999.  I took 8 years off to be a full-time mom to my sons, Ryan and Brandon.  When both of my boys went to school, I decided to return to teaching.  The Upper Adams School District is special to me because it is also my alma mater.  I have wonderful memories of my time as a student at Biglerville Elementary School and Biglerville High School.  (Go Canners!)

I attended Shippensburg University and received my Bachelors Degree in elementary education with a concentration in early childhood education.  I then attended Western Maryland, now McDaniel College, where I received my Master's Degree as a reading specialist.

I enjoy spending time outdoors with family and friends.  Watching football is a favorite activity, especially if the Steelers are playing.  I also enjoy spending time at the beach and reading a good book.
