Mrs. Donna Johnson-Short

I have been teaching gifted students in Upper Adams School District since 1997. Prior to that, I taught pre-school in Carlisle at both the YWCA and ChildTime. I have also taught kindergarten and first grade in Virginia. I did a short stint working as an insurance claims adjuster in North Carolina. Currently, I teach GATEways as part-time pull-out classes. I also co teach with various teachers in grades 4, 5, and 6 in order to work with many high achieving students. Additionally, I teach math enrichment groups in grades 1, 2, and 3.
I currently live in Boiling Springs with my husband, Tim, and our yellow lab, Ellie. Our college aged kids keep us busy on holidays and during the summer when they return home. I enjoy walking around Children's Lake in Boiling Springs, reading, and of course, finding interesting activities for my GATEways students:)
